The problem of separation of the sum of chaotic signals
into individual components in the presence of noise is
considered. An existence of a noise threshold above which
high-quality separation is impossible is shown. This effect is
justified on the basis of information theory and a theoretical
estimate is given for the threshold. A method for signal
separation is proposed, which uses iteration of the chaotic
sources equations in reverse time. The method allows to approach
the theoretical limit threshold.
