We calculate the
scaling behaviour of a field of coupled degenerate optical
parametric oscillators. The problem can be mapped on the classical
evolution of a scalar field with fourth order self-coupling under the
influence of an external noise. This allows us to determine the critical
exponents and the scaling behavior of such a system close to the transition
point to the subharmonic generation.
