Poincare maps are analytically derived to describe antiphase
spiking oscillations in class B multimode lasers. On the base of
such maps, a hierarchy of periodic solutions of various structures
is demonstrated. Analytical conditions are determined for phase
synchronization and clustering of spikes associated with different
longitudinal laser modes. Bifurcations leading to switching
between the solutions are described.
