A model of magnetorheological fluid is developed and
analyzed. The model takes into account the anisotropy of the
magnetorheological fluids, non-symmetry of the stress tensor, and
strongly nonlinear properties of these fluids. The general problem
on unsteady flow of the magnetorheological fluid under
nonhomogeneous mixed boundary conditions is studied. By using the
methods of fixed point theory, monotonicity and compactness, the
existence of a global solution of this problem and convergence of
Galerkin approximations are proved.
Key words:
discontinuous coefficients, difference scheme,
iterative process, convergence
