Peculiarities of the Brain Interhemisphere Asymmetry upon Microwave Treatment
A.V. Sidorenko

For adequate reaction of an organism to changing environment the right and left brain hemispheres are complementary interdependent in realization of nervous-mental functions. Interhemisphere peculiarities of the brain activity have been investigated by analysis of its bioelectric activity under the effect of microwaves. The nonlinear dynamics method based on Grassberger-Procaccia algorithm was used. Analysis of the experimental results for rats has demonstrated that the calculated correlation dimension may provide a reliable characteristics of interhemisphere correlations, changing upon microwave irradiation. In particular, it was demonstrated that increased interrelation of hemisphere activity, higher dynamics stability of bioelectric processes and the occurrence of synchronization (from the physical viewpoint) of oscillation processes for both brain hemispheres are possible after removing irradiation
Key words: central nervous system, bioelectric activity, microwaves, interhemisphere correlations, fractal dimension, deterministic chaos
